Miner Road Bridge at San Pablo Creek Retrofit Project: The project includes seismically retrofitting the existing three span steel stringer bridge supported on steel columns and pile foundations of unknown length. The work includes installing a creek diversion, reconstructing damaged rock slope protection, strengthening the column/bent cap connections, removing and replacing existing steel cross bracing, spot blast and clean portions of the existing steel members, paint portions of existing steel members, and heat straighten one steel column flange. The project is tentatively scheduled to begin construction no later than July 15, 2022. The estimated Construction budget is approximately $480,000 dollars.
Bear Creek Road Bridge over San Pablo Creek Retrofit Project: The project includes seismically retrofitting the existing three span steel stringer bridge supported on steel columns and pile foundations of unknown length. The work includes installing a creek diversion, strengthening column/footing connections, strengthening the column/bent cap connections, removing and replacing existing steel cross bracing, spot blast and clean a portion existing steel members, paint portions of existing steel members, installing concrete shear keys at abutments, installing timber blocking at abutments, removing existing water line supports and installing new waterline and supports, connecting the new waterline to the existing waterline beyond the bridge abutments, and reconstruction a portion of the existing abutment backwall to accommodate the new waterline installation. East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) will be responsible for inspecting the pipe and pipe support welding associated with the installation of the new waterline.
The project is tentatively scheduled to begin construction no later than July 15, 2022. The estimated Construction budget is approximately $820,000 dollars.
The number of working days for the project is 85 days.
