Rain or shine, the Orinda Parks and Rec's Winterfest event will be Saturday, December 2 in the Orinda Community Center, located at 28 Orinda Way.
This event is held in conjunction with the community’s second Orinda Gingerbread House Making Contest, created and sponsored by the Orinda/Tabor Sister City Foundation. The event and viewing of the gingerbread house contest entries will begin at 5:30 PM. Winners of the Gingerbread House Contest will be announced at approximately 6 PM. Thank you to the Orinda Community Foundation and the Orinda Parks and Recreation Foundation for sponsoring this event, additional festivities will include a performance by the Orinda Intermediate School Choir, led by Choir Director Christina Holling, the Orinda PD “Stuff a Cruiser” Toy Drive, a craft for children led by your Orinda Teen Advisory Council, as well as a seasonal-themed photo opportunity – families will need to bring their own camera/phone. Light refreshments will also be provided.
