Voting Information

voteCalifornia's Presidential General Election is on November 3rd.  For this election only, every registered voter in Contra Costa will automatically receive a vote by mail ballot.  This is part of the State's COVID-19 safety response.

Voting by mail is safe and secure.  It will also allow us to prioritize our community's safety by providing better social distancing at the early voting locations.  Fill out your ballot at your convenience and avoid potential wait times at one of our in-person voting sites.  You do not need to put a stamp on your ballot because we now cover the return postage.  If you return your ballot early, it will give us more time to process the increased number of vote by mail ballots.

You have several ways to return your ballot.  The list of locations, dates, and times for each of these options is included in this guide.

  • Drop it in any U.S.P.O. Mail Box - Postage is Prepaid

  • Visit one of Contra Costa Counties 17 early voting sites
