Refund Status

Parks and Rec staff have been working diligently to process refunds for all programs and classes that were effected by COVID-19. To date staff have processed all partial/prorated refunds for programs that had started and stopped due to the first shelter-in-place order in addition to all Spring Programs and Classes. Staff have also processed all refunds for Summer Classes and summer camps. 

We DID NOT email out refund receipts after each refund transaction for spring. We were concerned that it may cause some confusion if we did. Instead we would encourage you to sign-in to your CivicRec account to view your transactions. If you would prefer to receive a refund receipt(s) from us, please email us at OrindaParksandRec@CityofOrinda.org and include "Requesting Refund Receipt" in the subject line. 

Refund Method by Credit Cards: For individuals who have paid with a credit card, it’s important to note that if you were registered for more than one program beginning March 14 through the end of June, you will most likely see multiple refunds back to your card. This is due to the fact that we are refunding registrations by Program/class rather than family accounts.

*If your credit card has changed and would like staff to process a refund to a different card, we will be looking at these refunds separately in order to determine if it’s possible. If we’re not able to process the refund back to a different card we will be processing a refund back with a check.

Refund Method for Checks: For individuals who have paid with cash or checks, it’s important to note that if you were registered for more than one program beginning March 14 through the end of June, you will most likely see one check payment arrive in your mailbox.
