Did you know the COVID-19 Health Order from the Contra Costa Health Services Department allows all restaurants to continue offering takeout and/or delivery meals as an "essential business" similar to grocery stores? Residents are also allowed to make trips to restaurants to make or pick up their takeout order (trips categorized as "essential activities" under the Health Order). Getting takeout or delivery will not only provide some variety in your meal plan-- It will also support local restaurants during this difficult time. Most of Orinda’s restaurants are now offering takeout and/or delivery services, including some with incentives to encourage patronage.

While some offer their own delivery service, many of Orinda’s restaurants have also recently signed up for third-party delivery services including Postmates, DoorDash, GrubHub and UberEats. To access these online services, you can either go to their websites or download their apps to your mobile device. Note that many of these platforms offer the option to place orders for pickup as well as delivery.
